OBTUSE MAGIC

The style Obtuse uses is one of substance.

His magic contains reason and meaning.

Obtuse employs poetry, story telling, and even music to present his art.

The clip here is one of Obtuse's favorite routines.  Here we see Obtuse perform "LITTLE ORPHAN ANNIE" a famous poem written by Indiana poet laureate James Whitcomb Riley. Obtuse has married the poem with a popular effect that won him the "Abbotts Peoples Choice One Trick Award" at Abbotts Close-up Convention 2014.

For over 20 years Obtuse has been performing and pursuing his art to reach a refinement that projects a masterful air. Obtuse has clung tight to his love of the theatrical art of magic for many reasons.

His goals when performing are......

  • To induce a sense of wonder and awe.
  • To inspire creative thoughts and actions in others.
  • To bring joy to others .
  • To motivate with great mystery.
  • To include his audience in his performances.
  • To create a presentation with such great ambiance that is to provide his audience with an opportunity to leave the mundane world behind.
  • To provide QUALITY  theatrical entertainment

        Just to name a few . . . . . . .

THE MAN, THE MAGE, THE MAGIC.
